I have been thinking through an analogy about finding authentic meaningful bits of popular culture. I see a loud, writhing heap of trash, like a landfill but with less garbage-ooze and more flies. Scattered throughout the heap are sparkling golden threads; honorable endeavors, thoughtful depictions, genuine moments. I don't write poems, so I think I will just write a blog describing the image in my head. There.

Scattered throughout the heap are sparkling golden threads; honorable endeavors, thoughtful depictions, genuine moments.
